Study Abroad Day 35: Munchies for Nanaimo

Hi everyone! Although I really look forward to Wednesdays every week, because Wednesday is yoga day, I woke up feeling so incredibly soar I was not sure if I would make it to yoga class. I barely got myself to school without walking very slowly. After class I was really hungry, but did not want a heavy meal in my stomach just in case I would attend yoga. Thus, I decided to try out some noodle soup with dumplings from the Chinese foodtruck.

On my way to the foodtruck I remembered the Second Cup at college having nanaimo bars on display, so I went and bought one to cross another thing on my YYZ bucketlist. I saved it to eat in the evening, just in case I would suddenly suffer from a bad case of desperateforasugarrush-itis.

Unfortunately I felt too soar to go to yoga class, afraid the exercises would really hurt. But I did not want to sit at home all day (although I was working on a paper), I needed some exercise. So I went to the supermarket to buy a heavy bottle of water (4 liters). On my way I also stopped by the Japanese to get some breaded chicken and curry, because I knew that noodle soup (although it was tasty) would not satisfy me throughout the rest of the night.

I thought the Nanaimo bar looked super appetizing, but honestly I was a bit disappointed. I expected a crunchy layer at the bottom, but this bar was coconut flavored. I like coconut, but I prefer something crispy. Instead of crisp though, I got grated coconut. Ahwell... Btw, the food was alright I guess. Not as tasty as my own curry I think though (No veggies in it either! Onions do not count).
