The next day I had class and had lunch with one of my friends after I passed by the U of T bookstore. I ordered the same seafood soup I had the other day and felt pretty stuffed when I left. But then suddenly, I craved rice so badly after having eaten salads, veggies, fruits, and soup all week. And besides this, I was also in real need of a sugar rush, and what way better to do this than getting icecream? I wanted to play it "safe" and decided to get some from a place on my way home.
Little did I know it was a yogurt ice cream bar, which I had heard of before. You basically get to tap your own icecream and choose toppings. The price is determined by the weight of how much ice cream you tapped, I love the concept. Unfortunately I did not take any pictures of the place, nor of my ice cream because it looked pretty disgusting when I got home (because it already melted a bit). I chose to try out the non-fat mint chocolate chip, (dairy free) pink lemon, and cherry. I especially liked the pink lemon, and the toppings.
Of course as soon as I collected my sugar I went looking for some rice with veggies and meat. With my eggplant addiction of course I opted for this. I decided to try out a different foodtruck this time, and ordered the eggplant with chicken. It was nice, but I did feel like I got more protein and eggplant at the other truck.
Tuesday I decided to stay home, because I needed to get some stuff done. I could not help myself in getting some food again across the street. I was in the mood for something different, so I ordered the pork chops in onion sauce. I think it was really nice! I would have preffered a bit more meat and veggies though, so I will most likely order my regular eggplant with shrimp again next time, lol.
