Study Abroad Day 19: When one door closes another one opens

Hi everyone! This afternoon I had class, and afterwards I was supposed to work on my paper and go to the gym. Of course, not without complaining at the porter's desk about my filthy ass room full of bugs. I literally wanted to scream, because I felt I was being treated in a really rude manner. Just as I angry went online in hopes of finding someone to Skype with so I could tell my story and complain for a bit (sometimes you just need to), I heard some knocking on my door. It was the cleaning staff.

They proposed to put a large humidifier in my room to get all the moisture out of the carpet. Unfortunately, they did not have any bug spray or an alternative to get rid of the flies already chilling on my ceiling. I could not believe I would have to sleep another night in a room in such conditions. I went to take a shower to wash my frustration away, but right before I stepped into the shower, one of the cleaning staff members told me to go to the other porter's desk, because I might be able to move into a different room upstairs. And so I went, after freshing up. I was delighted to hear that I could easily move into another room (with an actual view, yes), and I decided to opt for the one on the 8th floor. However, my excitement would soon vanish, because the room was a mess! Pieces of carpet all over the place, dirt on the carpet, holes in the ceiling, etc. etc.

I made a u-turn back to the porter's office to switch rooms again. When I finally got to a clean room on the 6th floor I was delighted. It was way smaller than my room downstairs, but at least it was clean, well-lit, ánd I had a view of the CN-tower. It cannot get any better than this!

I decided to do some grocery shopping and get some dinner before moving all my stuff, and I totally forgot that I had an appointment for the huge humidifier to be picked up.

When I arrived home I noticed they already picked it up (without me being there, but okay...). I moved all of my stuff upstairs and I cannot be happier about this! Unfortunately, as I am typing I have to work on my paper to be handed in next class. Night night!
