Kiko haul/review (pt. 1: Unlimited foundation, Dark circle concealer)

The first time I visited a Kiko shop was in Amstelveen, where I bought three lipliners and a BB cream on sale. Two out of the three liners quickly became my new budget favorite, but unfortunately the BB cream was a tad bit too dark for me. My second visit was at the new shop in Amsterdam, in search of a lipscrub in lipstick form. So many other things caught my attention that day! On the brand's website I saw a nice color selection in foundations and concealers, but unfortunately I could hardly find any reviews/swatches online to determine what my color would be. So I decided to refrain from online shopping and to just visit the store to pick out the right shades!

I purchased a foundation, concealer, three mascara's, a highlight/contour kit, lipbase, and sharpener. Tip: I got 10% off my purchase, because I signed up for the Kiko rewards club and downloaded the app before I visited the store! Unfortunately, the makeup blender was sold out, so I bought one at the Kruidvat from Catrice (€4,59). I usually apply my foundation either with my Urban Decay Optical Blurring Brush or my hands, but I wanted to try out something different!

I chose the Unlimited foundation in the color Warm Beige 110 (€14,90). I really appreciate the selection in shades, which is divided into three undertones (pink - rose, yellow - beige, neutral - neutral) and two groups (cool & warm). WB 110 is the darkest shade for the warm yellow undertone selection.

The consistency is very liquid and smooth. I only needed about 1-1.5 pump for one layer. The coverage is light to medium and it concealed my under-eye circles just a bit. I like the light coverage, because it does not feel heavy on my face, and still shows my freckles!

♡♡♡♡ - My new favorite foundation, right behind the Naked Skin foundation by Urban Decay!

According to the Kiko website, the color I should have chosen in combination with the foundation in WB 110, was 07 Hazelnut (€8,90). When I swatched the color in the store, however, I felt it was too dark. So I opted for one shade lighter, 05 Sand. On the website, this color is matched with WB 60, one shade lighter than WB 110. I also wanted to try out the dark circle corrector, but unfortunately it was sold out in yellow!

I think the concealer did a moderate job! I wonder about the difference in effect, had I chosen the recommended shade for my foundation color! The product was easy to apply and blend, which is a huge plus for me!

♡♡♡♡ - Blends very well and does not crease!
