Study Abroad Day 50: Groupie love at TSOQ

You see those two beautiful women standing next to me? Right before I came to Toronto I found out about them on Instagram and knew I could not return home without having stalked their asses at least once to tell them they have a groupie from Amsterdam.

In case you do not know who they are, they are the owners of a fashion boutique in Downtown Toronto, called The Store on Queen (TSOQ)—Because it is located on Queen street, lol. What makes them different from other boutique owners? They are bold, they are vibrant, they are comfortable in their own colorful skin. So far one of the things I have loved from being here has been the lack of shits people give whenever I walk around in "unique" outfits. Or the compliments—instead of side eyes—I keep getting for my fake suspender tights. Anyways, these women are just a fresh of breath air to me in this world wherein everyone tries to fit in. Or tries too hard to not fit in, which makes them part of the mass anyways, *ahem hipsters*. Conclusion, hubby and wifey kick butt and meeting them was definitely one of my highlights here!

And no, the picture is not random. Today I was actually on a mission to visit TSOQ. But first I went to Walmart to return some stuff. Turns out though, if you pay with credit or debit the money Walmart (or any other store for that matter) owes you will be charged back onto your card. No cash money unless you paid cash. And of course I did not have my card with me... So I spent some time at Walmart having to spend all my in-store credit today. I spent it on stuff my mom wanted for me to buy, hehe.

Before I left to take the subway to Bathurst (and the streetcar from there to Queen) I got a bit hungry and decided to quickly eat something at Taco Bell. I ordered the Doritos Supreme which was small as heck! I am not complaining, especially not for the price lol, but I expected a bigger portion, seen as portions here are usually so damn large.

On the streetcar to Queen I passed Little Italy!

Obviously I loved the store, but tbh I tried not to look around too much because I did not want to torture myself with all the fashion crack offered there. I knew I would not be able to shop because of a limited budget, so I stayed strong and not paid too much attention to the merchandise. Although I did not purchase anything Vava was sweet enough to give me a paper bag with a sweet message written on it *smiley face*.

After my random meet and greet I walked down to Spadina (Chinatown) to exchange something I bought a few weeks ago. Luckily I was able to return it and pick out something else. Being in the mood for a long walk (and experiencing nice weather!) I decided to walk down to Eaton Centre as well to buy some gifts.

Because I was on such a roll with walking around today I decided I could might as well walk home too! And so I did, but my feet were hurting like hell when I finally arrived!
