Study Abroad Day 39 (Part 2): Finally in the U.S.

Click HERE for part I of today!

Hi guys! In my previous post you could read about my trip to Niagara, Canada earlier this day. Together with my studymate I took the train and bus there without help of a tour operator. Because we had to catch the train very early I did not have breakfast, so I arrived there with a growling stomach! After we had breakfast/lunch at an all-you-can-eat buffet à la Klumpstyle we quickly headed over to the Falls, passing Clifton Hill.

Although pictures do not do this magical looking place any justice, I still took loads of them. Whilst walking along the Falls my phone suddenly beeped. I was surprised to find a message welcoming me to the U.S. So I was kind of but not really there. I could look at it though, does that count a little?

At the Horseshoe Falls was an information center and souvenir shop. Of course I had to check it out to hunt down the prettiest fridge magnet and cute souvenirs! When I got outside I was happy to see my view had improved for the better. A few rainbows could be seen chilling above the Falls!

We walked back to the left of the Falls to purchase tickets for the Maid of Mist boat tour (see picture above). The wait was not too bad, and I really liked the blue souvenir poncho everyone got. Because the sun suddenly got really hot I could not wait to cool down by entering the mist.

Slowly approaching the mist my excitement went through the roof!

Oh em effin gee! This was soooo hardcore! I got supersoaked, lol. It was a lovely sunny day, but upon entering the mist you suddenly find yourself in the middle of a wild storm causing you to move all over the place. I filmed the whole thing, but damn! I could not take any pictures because water was flying around and I did not want to take any risk with my phone.

After the boat ride ended we decided to head back home! On our way to Clifton Hill I spotted a sign for the Hershey store.

The store was full of chocolate goodness! I bought lots of candy to take home with me and a piece of brownie to try out back at the dorms.

When we got near the busstop we saw the bus leaving! It left every hour, so we had to wait for a while. I did not mind one bit though, because I was hungry as hell and this gave me the opportunity to find something to eat! We spotted a 24/7 Tim Horton's, where I ordered a sundried tomato parmesan bagel with creamcheese. I thought it would kind of be safe, but just to be safe I took some lactase pills.

The bus ride back to Burlington was something else! I was scared there for a second to end up in nowhere, because the bus took a whole different route back! After we took the train back Downtown, we took the subway to St. George and walked home.

Now I can finally go rest and sleep in for a bit! My feet are so tired!
