Click HERE for part I of today!
After a long walk, we finally we arrived in Koreatown! My first reaction was "I need to go back to Korean school!" and then "Is this it?". Bummed out to the max! Korea town hardly looked like a town to me. Of course I did not wander around the entire neighborhood, so I might have gotten the wrong impression. But I was a tad bit disappointed that only a small portion of Bloor St. was Korean. Anyways, because it was dark outside the pictures I took sucked.
Time for some food! We wanted to give poutine another try and figured we burned enough calories having walked all the way from Lake Shore to Bloor (like a 2 hour walk according to Google Maps). Besides this joint (Smoke's Poutinerie) is supposed to be super famous for its poutine, so we went for it. I ordered the pulled pork poutine (because pulled pork is also really Canadian I guess, lol).
I enjoyed the poutine, the meat was really nice. But I would not walk all the way to that part of Bloor again for another one. I would rather make some poutine myself or just get it wherever really.
My tourist partner wanted to end the evening with something sweet, so we went to Froyo's across the street for some yoghurt icecream. I went to a self-serve yogurt icecream shop before, but I did not take any pictures that time. So I took lots this time! I loooved the selection, but honestly I did not really enjoy the flavors. It was not as sweet as I hoped for. But just choosing from the wide selection of flavors and toppings is a fun enough experience to go there.
Now I am off to bed although my body is aching like crazy, because tomorrow will be another exciting day!
