En suite (review Inntel Hotel Zaandam)

Like I discussed in a previous post, I wanted to spend some relaxed qt with my so before taking off to Toronto. We booked a suite at the Inntel Hotel Zaandam, which is located next to the city's central train station. Although the hotel looks like a life-sized playhouse, the hotel's interior is quite luxurious. Our room was on the 9th floor (the little blue house). From our room we had a view of the train station and main shopping street.

The reason we went for this room is because of the private sauna, rainshower and whirlpool. The hotel also offered a gym, a pool and Turkish steam bath. Also, the hotel is located in the small city of Zaandam right outside of the busy capital.

After dinner we decided to hit the gym for a while, which to our luck was non-occupied. Then we jumped into the deserted pool to swim some laps and goof around. Of course we also had to make use of the sauna in our room. There was a little bottle of eucalyptus oil to add to the wooden water bucket, and it scented the space wonderfully.

In the morning we had breakfast downstairs, which was your typical continental breakfast offered by hotels (i.e. sausages, scrambled eggs, bacon, fruit, bread). Then we enjoyed a walk through the main shopping street before packing our stuff to head home again, where I had to pack for my flight to Canada the next day.
