Ready, Set, Go! (review L.A. Girl Glazed Lip Paint)

I am a beauty hoarder, I will not deny that I am. My weakness is definitely lip products, especially (matte) lipsticks in neutral/nude/soft pink colors. Despite having a drawer full of make-up, including many un-opened lipsticks, I keep buying new ones!

A few weeks back I mentioned that I visited my cousin Varishta Shireen for a few days, and on one of those days we went out shopping and strolling in The Hague. When she brought me to an afro hairshop where they have a wide selection of American make-up (e.g. Sleek and L.A. Girl) I went only slightly buckwild. I purchased a matte lipcream and eye-brow stylist pencil by Sleek and two glazed lip paints by L.A. Girl. For today, I thought I would share my thoughts on the L.A. Girl lip glazed lip paints first!

I bought the colors 'Elude' and 'Flirt' at the Afro Indian Market in The Hague, for €3,95 each. Most of the colors from the collection were available, but 'Elude' caught my attention first (sucker for pinky nudes!). When I did not see any on display, I asked one of the shop assistants whether they had any in stock, and lucky me, they did!

I think my weakness for packaging and my cousin raving about them convinced me to buy them, because I honestly never wear lipgloss! I dislike how it sticks to my hair, is usually sheer, and the constant need for re-application. 

The first thing I noticed when I opened the tubes was the smell! The lip paints smell very minty and fresh, which is a huge plus for me. The color pay-off was pretty good, and the consistency slightly runny and non-sticky (hooray!). Unfortunately, I do not own a lip brush, so it was a bit tricky to apply the colors without the colors being streaky. But when I got the hang of it, it was all well.

Oopsie... Because I did not use any flash (try taking a selfie with your phone backwards!) you can hardly see any difference between the colors. But from the swatches you can see that 'Elude' (on the left) is definitely more neutral toned from the two!

I am sold! I absolutely adore these lippies, coming from a girl who is a bit anti-lipgloss :D
