Fijne maandag lieve lezers! Ik heb beloofd om meer consistent te zijn met bloggen en filmen vanaf deze maand, en dit is mijn eerste post om deze uitdaging af te trappen. Natuurlijk is dit voornamelijk een planner blog, dus waarom niet mijn spreads voor deze maand en week delen? Omdat ik met meerdere planners werk (waar ik binnenkort wat dieper op in ga) heb ik besloten om mij aan 1 wekelijks thema te houden voor al mijn planners.

Bubzbeauty dislikes me?! Sick in Singapore! (update)
Lately I haven't been updating my blog and/or social media (except for Snapchat), but spamming you guys with a plead to enter my giveaway! I know, annoying maybe. Thirsty perhaps. I'm that type of person who doesn't like to get under people's skin and absolutely loathes to ask for any help. I'm independent (and stubborn) like that. But now all of the sudden I went full-on spam mode, in an attempt to collect data for my research hardly anyone wants to participate in.

Food Files IV (Thai Food Café)

I've already had dinner at Thai Food Café, and although the food was very tasty I did experience some acute cramps shortly after. Still, I think it was simply a case of IBS acting up without any clear reason. This time I ordered some vegetarian dishes and didn't experience any symptoms!

In today's Food Files some Asian food, Vietnamese and Japanese! I've already written a full review of Teppanyakibar before, but this time I tried out food that fitted my current pescatarian way of life. The same holds for the other restaurant named Suvi. I've had many pleasant experiences with their takeout food, but I'd never actually set foot in their restaurant. Likewise, when I finally got to dine-in I chose something pescatarian approved!

An ode to icecream (weekly spread + free printable)
Last week's planning layout was very girly and kawaii, using pastel colors and lots of icecream themed decoration! This was the first time I used printables to decorate my HP boxes, and so far I really like the look of it. To each his or her own, but I'm personally not a big fan of spreads that are full of stickers and happy notes. The look of it makes me feel a bit restless, and the whole point of using my HP is to feel organized and inspired!

I've been an avid reader since I was young. I started off with children's books, discovered some heavy literature around puberty (e.g. Dante Aligieri), and bought my first "self-help" book way before I hit my twenties ("Fabulosity" by Kimora Lee *back then still* Simmons). The past 5-ish years I've been all about inspirational reading, from books, to apps and blogs. Today I want to share you my top 8 favorite of them in random order! I recently ordered my first legit planner, courtesy of my so, who couldn't stand to watch me spend so much time and effort on creating my own planner every month anymore. I've been wanting this planner for a long time, but unfortunately the previous edition was sold out online in webshops that offered reasonable shipping fees.

Waking up early on a free day? Eating breakfast? Definitely not my cup of tea. Or so I thought! I was that person who loathed getting up before 9am, felt sick with the thought of an early breakfast, ánd needed 3 alarms to feel somewhat rested (i.e. snooze addict). But now, I actually value my mornings and don't waste them sleeping in!

5 reasons Monday is my best friend
I used to be that person who dreaded Mondays. As a teen going to school, and as an adult working an office job. Why? Well, because it meant my weekend was over. No more sleeping in, staying up late, and being at ease. Instead, 5 days of hard work at a place I didn't want to be at and lots of stress. But as I've gotten older, I've learned to appreciate the most hated day of the week and actually make it one of my favorites!

Such a steal (review L.A. Girl HD Pro Concealer)
I bought these L.A. Girl HD Pro Conceal concealers at the Afro Indian Market in The Hague, as part of my humble birthday shopping spree. They costed me about €3,95 each, a pretty good deal imo. I chose two beige toned colors, 'GC976 Pure Beige' (left) and 'GC973 Creamy Beige' (right).

Clouds and silver linings
Negativity may knock on your door, but that does not mean you have to let it in.
When I let negativity get to me, especially the kind that is self-inflicted, I notice a feeling of getting stuck in a downward spiral. To avoid falling into this trap, I've taught myself over the years to try my best to find at least one positive thing about any situation I'm in. Indeed, this can be really tough to do when you find yourself amidst a storm with only dark clouds dominating your horizon. But following any slammed door of rejection in your face, another door of opportunity will open.

In love with the babi (review Cannibale Royale)
Pork is bad for you, yes indeed. But it is sooo tasty tho! My favorite pork dishes to indulge on are babi pangang (pork belly), pork chops, and of course ribs (which we call spareribs)! The best ribs experience I had was at a restaurant named Roots, which unfortunately is no longer in business! But luckily, the ribs I had at Cannibale Royale in Amsterdam the other day tasted even better!

This year I did not go all out for celebrations, but felt very blessed nonetheless. Being surrounded with loved ones and having yummy food at one's disposal, is really all I needed! For X-mas dinner I went to Kyoto Café for another AYCE experience. I had not been there in a while, and saw a menu change so I was excited!

My 2016 DIY vertical planner
Last year I got semi-hooked on plan with me videos. My absolutely favorite YouTuber in this area is BeautyMuseMakeup. She is the sole reason I own about 50 washi tapes and lots of colored pens I hardly use, lol. The creative aspect of decorating your planning and customizing it to your liking is what caught my attention. And of course, these planners are super cute to look at!
