Cosmo fashion internship (update 11)

Hi loves! Another update about my internship! The past three weeks the editorial for our September issue was shot, and man let me tell you this was so hectic! Let me start off by telling you what I had been doing the weeks before the shoot. This will nót be a photodiary, but one full of #andysachsmoment stories!

In the past few weeks there was another move inside the building, and I finally got my own desk! This was great, because I needed the space to work on my shopping pages. For our September issue, I was in charge of the shopping pages related to our shoot, aside from collecting samples and managing the closet.

Because there was tight deadline this week, I was expected to be present at two places at the same time! I had to be of assistance at the shoot, ánd I had to write the shopping plus credits for the shopping ánd for the shoot, ánd credits for another shoot! I figured I could bring my laptop, no biggie. When I finally arrived on set with all the styling, however, I found out I forgot my shopping pages at the office! Because I was an assistent, there was no time for me to go back to get it. Luckily, one of my fellow interns at ELLE would drop off some props, and I asked her to bring my stuff. She could not find what I was looking for and my mind was working overhours to figure out where it could be! Like I mentioned once, I am pretty organized at the office, so I knew I placed it somewhere specific. As if this was not enough of a stress factor, the shoot took place downstairs, while the styling was upstairs. I had to run up and down like a maniac trying to please people providing drinks and what not, while trying to stay focused on my computer tasks.

The shoot went wonderful, but I am still very bummed I did not get to fully experience most of it, because I was stuck behind my laptop. As tragically this day started, it ended even worse! It started raining like crazy outside and a storm was on its way. I had to make an appointment with the cab driver to pick me up, which was quite of a challenge, and I had to pack everything again. Whenever I pack the styling after a shoot, I like to organize the stuff so it will save me time at the office trying to sort everything out. I was on a roll and getting ready to finish just in time before the cab driver arrived. But then, out of the blue, a girl came up to me and asked me about her jewelry. What jewelry?! Obviously, I had no idea what she was talking about. She informed me that she needed all the pieces back from a specific jewelry line, for another shoot, and she made an appointment with someone to pick them up today. Of course, no one told me about this, while I am the one in charge of samples! If I had known, I would have at least brought the packing slip, to check all the items going out. #andysachsmoment

I managed to help the girl to get her jewelry and catch the cab back to the office on time, but this happening bugged the hell out of me! This was the second time I was not informed about a priority return. If I am in charge of returns, someone else is not supposed to make an agreement with the brands or PR agencies without at least notifying me about it! Gosh, these people I tell you.

The next day I arrived at the office and started looking for my shopping pages like a lunatic. I could not find them. Again, this was the second time my shopping pages mysteriously disappeared! What the eff, really? And then it turned out that someone took my shopping pages home to work on them, without notifying me... Can you imagine my face at that specific moment in time? #andysachsmoment Well, enough with the drama for this post! Of course I also did some fun stuff.

I had lunch on the building's rooftop, overlooking Amsterdam and I went to a collection launch by Specsavers where I got to meet designer Jørgen Simonsen!
