River Island salon show
Today I made a visit to a salon show by River Island hosted at the Hortus Botanicus, which is a plant museum in Amsterdam. When we arrived we got a pair of binoculars, because we had to "spot the models" as if we were on a safari and the models were wild animals.
I really liked the concept, and the venue was gorgeous. I just found the lack of lightning a slight bummer, because the plants asked for more attention than the models did, due to the bright exposure of the museum's lamps. We drank some coconut milk and had some different hors d'oeuvres, like mini pot pies and profiteroles stuffed with an authentic Surinamese delicacy named pom. It was really odd to say the least. They get a 10 for thinking out of the box, but honestly some boxes are meant for you to stay in!
