Edit: Little Buddha Amsterdam is temporarily closed
Today I met with a friend to catch up having a few drinks together She suggested the Little Buddha lounge, where cocktails are served together with Asian fingerfood and desserts. I had been here before for dinner, but I was not impressed. Because the room is dim lit, it takes away from the experience for me not being able to see what is served on my plate. For lounging, however, I think the interior is perfectly designed.
Aside from some cocktails, we ordered a warm sushi roll to share. We chose the 'New Style California' maki, which were covered with tempura and filled with avocado, eel, and fried shrimp. The sushi was absolutely delicious, albeit for a steep price of €9 per 4 pcs.
We also ordered the sesame bars with yuzu icecream, of which the latter is just a fancy name for melon icecream. Unfortunately the chocolate was a tad bit too bitter for my liking.
If you are looking for a nice place to lounge with good mixed cocktails, deliciously tasting snacks, and comfi chairs, I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the neighborhood. Please note that the menu is a bit pricey, so be on the look out for cocktail night!
