The weather has been gorgeous for the past few days!! Hope it will last for longer than a week.. Finally, summer has arrived!

Hi loves! Yesterday I made my first visit to a spa in Haarlem with one of my friends. Unfortunately I woke up today with a major cold and my muscles aching. So much for relaxing, hehe. In the evening we had dinner at a grand café, of which I forgot the name. I ordered the rocket salad with mozzarella and parmaham, and my friend ordered the seabass with pasta. I really enjoyed the pesto dressing and could appreciate the tomato flower I spotted on my plate.

Thai feast (review Bird)

Hi guys! The other day I had dinner with friends to get catch up again, at a Thai restaurant called Bird. I think the food was wonderfully cooked, but the prices to be a bit too steep! From personal experience, I know you can get delicious Thai food for cheaper prices. Unfortunately, the plates were also smaller than I expected, so this was a bit of a let down as well.

Hi guys! In today's food files I share pictures with you from the dinner I recently had at Roots. I did not care too much for the vitello tonato, but I really enjoyed the main courses. The ribs were braised beautifully and the meat truly fell off the bone. The pork with mushrooms was also very tender and full of flavor.

Hi everyone!! I know I've been lagging on updating my blog, which I don't have a legitimate excuse for to be honest, but hereby I'm announcing my attendance again! These past weeks I've been busy wrapping up my second semester, and started my intensive course for the month June. I'm taking Arabic!! =D I really enjoy it, but unfortunately we have a test every damn week!! Tomorrow too, yes indeed. But I decided to quickly post a message on my blog, to shortly explain the reason(s) behind my absence.

Praha citytrip

Hi guys! Last week I went on a quick citytrip to the lovely city Prague, together with a few family members. Unfortunately, because the trip was all-inclusive I was not able to explore the city on my terms. This also meant that I often did not get to choose what to eat. We mainly ate soup and schnitzels, nothing I cannot get at home. The only local "specialities" I tried out were some pastries and cold cuts for breakfast, a handful of desserts, and goulash with dumplings which gave me the worst stomach cramps ever. I was not the only one who picked this dish, so I am still not sure what caused my bad reaction.

Love for curry (review Pahop Thai)

Hi guys! One of my favorite places to eat Thai food at is a restaurant in Amsterdam named Pahop Thai. They have two locations, of which I prefer the small one. My favorite dishes are the Tom Khai Kai (soup with chicken and coconut milk) and mains that have squid in them.

Out of the closet

Today was a very long day, in which I've been pretty active. Not only did I get up around half past 6, the public transport was on a strike again. So after 3 dreadful hours of college, okay -1.5 because the Migration class was interesting minus my presentation, I had to walk to my next destination.

Beef surprise (review Supperclub A'dam)

Before I was invited to dine at Supperclub for the first time, I actually thought it was a lounge bar and/or club. My expectations were not set too high, considering that I did not have the slightest clue what to expect. Out of the two SC's in Amsterdam, this one is located in an alley of the city's main shoppingstreet De Kalverstraat. After passing through a huge door (one must ring the bell to enter) we were welcomed by eccentrically dressed staff members and asked to wait in the red bar.

Hi loves! Today I had lunch with a friend to catch up. I chose a Japanese inspired restaurant named Wagamama. I had dinner there before, but I never tried out their noodle soups. For starters we picked the deep-fried seafood gyoza and ebi katsu. For main we went for the chicken itame (ramen noodles in coconut curry based soup) and yaki soba. And lastly, both the chocolate fudge cake and white chocolate ginger cake were ordered!

Third week of school has started, I am so looking forward to my dinner- and movies dates with my loves and planning vacation. I am also considering changing up my room, again yess I know but I can't stay in the same place for too long, something less PINK or girly. I have already removed all the Keropi and Hello Kitty ish from my tiles in the kitchen, and when some cash is flowing in again I'll be checking out Zeeman or Wibra, whutever as long as it's cheap as fuck, for some pillowcases in a more mature color than bubblegum pink.

Also, I need to find something that will make my workingspace, aka desk, less comfortable to sit at. Becuz now I am sitting here most of the time doing ab-so-lu-te-ly nothing usefull. T^T Aaaand I need a new fridge/freezer combo to start eating even healthier. Now it's time for some homework again, ugh. School in 1.5 hrs. My schedule is so ridiculous, seriously. Class in the morning, and then I'll have an effin break until late in the afternoon.
