Crayon XL (review Golden Rose Matte Lipstick Crayon)

When I went on a vacation to Turkey last month, I made sure I left the country w/ a stash of new makeup products. For my previous review, I first tried out the Flormar Waterproof Lipliner. Today's brand is one that is unfortunately not for sale in NL (at least not that I know off)!

I immediately knew I had to purchase some of these matte lip pencils by Golden Rose when I saw them on display. They were a bit pricier than the other lip products (about TL18), but for any matte products I am willing to invest!

I chose a dark pink color (#11) and wine red (#02). They were very smooth and easy to apply and had lots of pigmentation. Also, very important, they were indeed matte on the lips!

Gorgeous, not!? Especially the second color has been one of my favorites lately! The "sheen" spotted in the left picture for #11 is actually a reflection of my bright lamp, hehe.

Pros Golden Rose Matte Lipstick Crayon

♡ Great color pay-off

♡ Is actually matte

♡ Pretty reasonable pricing (about €5,50)

♡ Very easy to apply

Cons Golden Rose Matte Lipstick Crayon

♡ Not widely available

♡ Can leave your lips a bit dry after it wears off

♡ Need to be careful w/ transfer of the lipstick! I wore #02 out clubbing once and for some reason I got home w/ lipstick all over my face, lol.
