Being Mary Jane inspo (finale)

Hi loves! One of my favorite shows to watch last season was definitely Being Mary Jane. Aside from the story line and acting, an important feature that makes the show stand out to me is the wardrobe styling. I have a weakness for the type of power woman outfits Mary Jane sports on a regular base, and she almost makes me want to dust off the heels in my shoe closet. In awaiting for the second season to finally start I thought I would get us in the mood again with some TV-celeb inspo, showing you all the fab outfits Mary Jane rocked in the first season. Enjoy! Warning: Might contain spoilers!

Episode 9: Uber Love

Today's episode is unfortunately already the last one for this season! Thank you MJ for giving us so much inspiration for our wardrobes!
Outfit 1

Meh. In this scene MJ sat down, so her outfit was not fully shown. Although I must admit that what she is revealing looks promising.

Outfit 2

Mmm-kay, I already know this is going to be my favourite outfit of this episode. The dress was sexy as hell, but classy at the same time. How often do you see dress revealing so much, that cannot be considered club wear?!

Outfit 3

MJ casual time! A pretty "young" outfit, but she wore it well. I really liked the jacket, although the back was cut a bit too high for me. BTW, I love it when she wears her hair up!

Outfit 4

I am officially wow-ed! The orange top/dress looks absolutely breathtaking on her. Too bad we were not shown what she had on underneath.

Outfit 5

MJ's last outfit of the season is super casual, with the exception of those grey killer heels. Ah, I always claim not to be a jeans and T kind of girl, but how can you ever wrong with perfectly fitting jeans and a tight wifebeater? Can I have those jeans please?

Let me know in a comment what your favorite outfit was from the eight episode! My vote is for that stunning black dress (#2), and well because it looked so good on her, MJ's casual-chique #5.

Until next season!

Being Mary Jane inspo (Eps 8)

Episode 8: Blindsided

Outfit 1

In the first scene, MJ had a simple casual outfit on, including black skinny trousers, a black loose cardigan, white tee, and black wedges. Nothing special, but not bad either.

Outfit 2

I could not tell whether she was wearing a dress or a top, but either way, the royal blue v-neck looks great on her!

Outfit 3

What I liked most about this outfit was the vibrantly colored top. I do believe MJ is a master at rocking sleeveless tops!

Outfit 4

Like, like, like! Look at that dress' color and neckline, what more can I say?

Outfit 5

One of the things I love about MJ's styling, is that she often wears the same items in different outfits. For this outfit, she wore the same jacket from the previous one (if I am not mistaken), and paired it with a black top and pants. Simplicity at its best.

Outfit 6

Although you only get to see her bottom half for most of this scene, MJ's black on black ensemble was a huge winner in my books. I have a soft spot for (faux) leather-y skirts paired with black turtlenecks.

Let me know in a comment what your favorite outfit was from the eight episode! My vote for today was between #4 and #6, but I think that #4 takes the cake!

Being Mary Jane inspo (Eps 7)

Hi loves. In awaiting for the second season to finally start I thought I would get us in the mood again with some TV-celeb inspo, showing you all the fab outfits MJ rocked in the first season. Enjoy! Warning: Might contain spoilers!

Episode 7: Hindsight is 20/40

Outfit 1

Although I would personally not go for a similar dress, I could appreciate it when only the top part was shown. The black and white graphic design on the bottom totally caught me off-guard, lol. I will just keep it at that.

Outfit 2

This was just any other office type attire imo. I liked the gold necklace for a pop of color, but noticed she was not wearing it anymore in the next scenes.

Outfit 3

I just threw this one in here for some sexiness, lol.

Outfit 4

MJ casual almost always involves a pair of jeans-ish pants and a loose cardigan or jacket. I prefer MJ glammed up.

Outfit 5

Business babe again, but pretty boring outfit imo.

Outfit 6

I believe she has the same pants she had on for outfit #5 here. I really liked the top she was wearng underneath her cardigan, a sleeveless v-neck top.

Outfit 7

I was crazy about MJ in purple the last time, but this time I am less enthusiastic. The color still suits her, and I think the dress is cut perfectly for her frame. But it is definitely has not kicked that backless purple maxi-dress from its throne.

Let me know in a comment what your favorite outfit was from the seventh episode! Unfortunately non of the outfits she wore this episode really wow-ed me in any sense. But if I had to choose, I would vote for outfit #7, because the dress fit her beautifully.

Being Mary Jane inspo (Eps. 6)

Hi loves! One of my favorite shows to watch last season was definitely Being Mary Jane. Episode 6: Exposed

Outfit 1

Super kawaii! I can very much appreciate this casual chique office type of attire!

Outfit 2

I do not think I have ever seen MJ rocking purple before, which is a shame because it looks divine on her! The dress is tight enough to accentuate her curves, and the backless detail gives it some extra sexiness, seen as the cleavage is pretty modest.

Outfit 3

We can only speculate as to wth she was wearing underneath this beige top. I do not really care for the draped neckline, but I liked how it was combined with the short necklace!

Outfit 4

At first I thought the beading was a detail of the top/dress. But then I looked closer and spotted a heart pendant, so I knew it was a necklace lol. Bummer! The top/dress is pretty nonetheless.

Outfit 5

Nothing special going on here. A striped T, whoopie doo.

Outfit 6

Yasss! The dress is perfectly cut for her frame, and the royal blue/purple-ish color screams so much attitude!

Outfit 7

I like the green. I think the neckline is perfect for her, seen as she has a modest cup-size. I am fawning over her fur coat. I think the (I believe to be) rosemary as an accessoire is original and looks nice, although I am not really a fan of using religious attributes as fashion statements. And lastly, I really disliked her heels. The platform was bit too stripper-esque for my liking.

Let me know in a comment what your favorite outfit was from the sixth episode! I vote for outfit #2, because the dress looked superglam on her despite its simplicity. With some fine gold jewelry (kept to a minimum), she would be all set for a night out!

Bacon wrapped asparagus (recipe)

Hi everyone! Despite my low activity, I am still cooking up a storm in the kitchen! Here is another simple to make and quick side-dish I have been loving lately!

Ingredients: 1 bundle of green asparagus (cleaned), uncooked bacon, olive oil, pepper

Instructions:  Preheat your oven at 220°C. • Thinly coat the asparagus with oil and grind some black pepper on top. • Wrap bundles of asparagus in 2 strips of bacon (I used bundels of 4, but I have also wrapped them individually another time). • Cook for about 10 mins, or until bacon starts getting crispy edges.

Enjoy!

Episode 5: Mixed Messages

Outfit 1

Unfortunately I could not get a good shot of MJ's first outfit in this episode, but luckily it was just a simple clubbing outfit. Cute black one shoulder top and black pants!

Outfit 2

Meh, not my fave. The outfit looked a bit too sweet on her, lol.

Outfit 3

Jeans, a white tee, and hoops. I digg it.
Outfit 4

First wow-factor outfit for this episode! Gorgeous neckline and beautiful color on MJ.

Outfit 5

Well, although she looked stunning as always, I did not like her sidechick speech one bit!

Outfit 6

Casual chique once again, although not my favorite attempt.

Let me know in a comment what your favorite outfit was from the fifth episode! I vote for outfit #4, because I think the dress looked really feminine and classy on her.
